Ruidoso

Here are a few unedited pics of Ruidoso.........I got a new camera right before we left and I didn't quite know what I was doing yet.  So, please ignore that I own my own photography business when looking at these pictures.... :)

10 Months (August 4th, 2012)

The summer is almost over and I don't want to go back to work!  After adjusting to being at home with my baby, I really enjoy it now.  It is the HARDEST job ever and I truly give props to the people who can stay at home full time.  I thought teaching was hard, but it is cake compared to being a full time mommy.  We toyed with going out of town several times this summer, but we could just never bring ourselves to actually do it.....until now.  The hubby and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary right before Jett turned 10 months old.  So we decided to go to Ruidoso/Cloudcroft for a couple of days.  The three of us went and whew it was exhausting and not one bit romantic, lol!!  We will have to actually go away, just the two of us, for our 5th next year.  We really enjoyed the trip and Jett did great considering his age and how much he wants to roam around.  I even met a couple of Aggies there!  Jett did great on the car ride for the first 4 hours, but the last hour he struggled..........and so did we!

Jett's personality is shining through and he definitely has a big one. :)  He loves his walker, although he is getting too big for it because he can almost climb out of it, yikes!  He loves to get in it and run with his arms straight up in the air, it is hilarious.  He has started drinking a lot more vitamin D/breast milk combo bottles and he is adapting great.  I also turned 28 and I can't believe how fast time flies..........in my dreams I truly thought I would have already had all of my babies by now.  Thank goodness we took our time, because they are a handful, but we love every minute of being parents.  I will start back to work in two weeks and we shall see how it is going back and being a business owner, and a momma and a wife.  I have prayed for God to help me balance it and for God to show me how to take care of everyone's needs, including my own. If you are reading this, please pray for my wisdom and strength in this new chapter of life.  I have never had such a full plate before, but I know that God will help me handle it all.

As for photos, we ditched the monthly stickers and did a real shoot this time!  We had a blast in the back yard with the bubbles and rubber duckies!

9 Months Old ( July 4th, 2012)

We survived the nasty 8th month and we are on to bigger and better things now!  Like Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease, woohoo!  My baby has never cried soooo much because he didn't feel good.  It is such a sickening feeling to have a baby sick and there is absolutely nothing that you can do for them.  We went for rides, rocked in the glider, went outside, took tylenol, listened to pandora...........NOTHING worked.  My husband was at his wits end and I was too, but I was blessed with more patience than him.  He cried for an hour straight and we were all in pure misery.  He slobbered more than ever, ran a fever, and had a few spots on his body.  I hope we never experience that one again.

On a happier note here were some milestones from the month:
  • His bottom 4th tooth starting breaking through
  • He kind of began to cruise along the furniture, but not very well
  • He LOVES to eat everything in site, this child is not picky
  • Mommy had to supplement with a little bit of formula every once in a while because the supply started to run low.  I tried herbal supplements and they worked pretty well, but we still did a bottle of formula every now and then.
  • Jett began drinking half breast milk and half vitamin D organic milk every once in a while towards the end of the month

8 Months Old (June 4th, 2012)

The 8th month of Jett's life has seemed to be the most challenging thus far.  Although, maybe it was because I was still getting used to being a stay at home momma for the summer.  He was teething like crazy and in need of some serious attention at all times during the day.  He never wanted to nap and I was in the peak of creating my website and getting my photography business rolling.  So...we had a lot of craziness going on in the Brewer house.  We did finally figure out that yogurt bothers his tummy, thus some of the fussiness was due to that lovely substance. Some other milestones and biggies included:  Clapping, and biting momma during breastfeeding.  I quit breastfeeding and I started strictly pumping.

We had two photo shoots for this month because like I said, it was a challenging age.  When we did the second shoot at my parent's house he decided to stand up and take a dive for the wood floors.  My heart raced and my camera went flying, but he survived and the photo shoot ended abruptly!  Therefore, we don't have many great ones from the 8th month.  Such a shame because 8 is my favorite number.
